I draw my inspiration from the notable characteristics of my local landscapes; Skye with its rugged mountains and towering sea-cliffs, the western Isles, with their isolated crofts perching in machair, overlooking vast, empty beaches, while dark peaks circle turquoise seas; fishing and crofting villages such as Plockton and Applecross nestling in the grandeur of the surrounding hills.
My chosen medium is oils, I enjoy their expressive quality and ability to convey the unique light found here in the North West.
